CLT Symposium AI Panel Reflection

The words people thought of about the AI made me believe from their perspectives, such as “risky”, which shows the risk that could happen due to AI. As well as the terms “Curiousity” and “Excitement”, these words depict people’s feelings for AI, and I can relate to these emotions. AI helps people to find data for individuals, economies, humanity, and society. From my perspective, AI will leave an impact on teaching, which might lead to paralogism, as mentioned; however, it has a positive effect on society, especially students. AI has a diverse opinion that reaches everyone efficiently and helps all majors with all interests. AI significantly supports students’ education as it helps in the communication and enhancement of ideas. If the professors acknowledge their students with AI, they will create transparency with them, leading to more self-improvement. A recognizable notice within the AI is that it is much more robust in English than in Arabic. The AI has the ability to give the customer nearly what they really need. The recommendation to most professors and many other fields is to accept, adopt, and deal with such a new and advanced opportunity. People think that if the students use AI, that will not be their work, but that is not true because to receive something, you should input something in return. A good point mentioned is relating education to the writing argument in Plato’s Phaedres; the calculators also help us significantly save time; you can only get a result if you have the correct input. Everything new has to face struggles at the beginning until people get used to it and learn how to use it; it should be ethically introduced in the University. Also, AI could help reduce the workload on the professors, such as feedback. AI is developing students’ cognitive abilities as they should know how to build their ethics while using it. AI, in my perspective, has a perfect future with students but with an essential awareness of how to use it.
